Chocolate Covered Oreos (Makes 6)

You will have seen these, you may have eaten some, but have you tried to make them?

The super indulgent biscuit/chocolate combo is simply to die for, and made using the mould, which you can purchase here in the shop, these treats can be made in an hour!

I used a chocolate transfer sheet to decorate mine, which I found online, but you can use sprinkles, drizzle melted chocolate or candy melts over them, use a small mould (such as the gem mould) and stick on using a bit of chocolate…it really is completely up to you.

200g chocolate (white, milk or dark)
6 oreos (I have used double stuffed but any will do)

To start, simply melt your chocolate in a bowl over a pan of hot water, not letting the base of the bowl touch the water. If you can temper chocolate, go for it, but what I do is keep some chopped chocolate aside (a little under 1/3rd) and once the bowl is off the pan I stir in the rest of the chocolate until this has all melted and is lovely and smooth.

Now, if you have a chocolate transfer, you can cut this out and place it in the mould, shiny side down (this is the side that peels off leaving the pattern on the chocolate).

Then put a few spoonfuls of the melted chocolate in the bottom to cover, place an oreo in that and cover with chocolate. Do this with all 6 oreos.

To set, place in the fridge for an hour (or you can place them in for 20 minutes and then take out to finish at room temperature).

Once these are fully set, simply tip out (they should come out of the mould very easily, if they are not budging, put in the fridge for 10 minutes).

Now if you have the transfer sheet on, peel off, or decorate with whatever you choose, or leave plain, simple and gorgeous, and serve!

These will keep a good week at least before they need to be eaten, but they probably won’t last that long!
