About Us

The Shire Bakery was created in 2014 out of a passion for baking but a disappointment in Supermarket baking supplies. We are an online retailer, selling giftable baking supplies. 

It was created by myself, Carly, after baking cakes for local bars and restaurants  was no longer satisfying. Creating sprinkle mixes spawned a creative beast inside of me, and The Shire Bakery quickly developed into what it is today. In 2019 we were crowned runner up for the Food and Drink Business of the year at the Great British Entrepreneur Awards.

In 2020 myself and my husband  Phil became parents for the first time to our wonderful daughter, shortly followed in 2022 by our son. We are truly a family run business now, warts and all! 

All of my happiest memories are of being in the kitchen, baking and cooking with various members of my family, and I'm passionate about getting people together in the kitchen. 

I aim to continually surprise and delight our customers, so keep your eyes peeled!
